 | | Radiation shielding glass (RSG) presented in this catalogue have density value from 2.5 g/cm3 up to 4.8 g/cm3, that produced at the expense of different content of plumbous oxide into glasses. All the technical properties are preserved owing to CeO2. effect in glasses resistant to fading under radiation influence. These glasses are shielding solutions for alpha, beta, gamma and neutron sources. In indication these glasses have letter R and number pointed at 10 times ratio of CeO2. |
Transmission reduction in short spectral region is compensated by high transmission in visible spectral region under irradiation exposure influence. Radiation shielding glass (RSG) has nomenclature:
- 252 – density multiplied by 100 times;
- R – glass having CeO2;
- 05 – ratio of CeO2 in percents multiplied by 10 times.
