The clouds range sensor DVO - 2 is a pulse range finder intended to measure a distance to a lower level of clouds above the place where a receiver and a transmitter have been installed, to process automatically the results measured and to transmit an output signal for recording and displaying on a control panel. It can be used as an independent device or as a part of automatic meteorological stations.

- exclusion of the cases of short-term loss of reflected signal from measured values (gap in clouds)
