Oxygen-free infrared optical glass (IKC type) is intended for fabrication of optical devices operating in the infrared region within the wave lengths of 1.0 – 16.5 microns. The composition of infrared glasses includes the following: sulfur, selenium, tellurium, germanium, arsenous sulphide (Às2S3) and other chemical elements. LZOS Company manufactures 9 types of infrared glass: IKC23, IKC24, IKC25, IKC27, IKC28, IKC29, IKC32, IKC33, IKC34. ![]() oxygen-free infrared glass IKC type
Glass types IKC27 and IKC33 – oxygen-free light filters. IKC27 has alternating transmission shortwave limit within spectral region 1.7-3.7 microns. IKC33 is light filter for the region 7.5-16 microns. IKC23 and IKC24 are transparent within region 0.7-11 microns. IKC25, IKC28, IKC29, IKC34, IKC32 are transparent within spectral region 1-17 microns. Oxygen-free infrared glasses properties are presented below. Oxygen-free infrared optical glass is supplied in form of discs by batches or single piece:
Spectral response characteristics of oxygen-free infrared optical glasses
Transmission coefficient is indicated for 3 mm layer of glass IKC27, IKC33 types and for 10 mm layer of other glass types.
Refractive indexes of oxygen-free infrared optical glass types
v2 = (n2.0 - 1) / (n1.8 - n2.2) v10 = (n10.0 - 1) / (n8.0 - n12.0)
